A CREATIVE WORKSHOP FOR KIDS

A workshop for creative imaginations that mixes the old with the new! Participants will use Lego tiles to build their own unique relief image. This will then be printed using our oldest heritage press in the printery - the 1860 Albion Press. Roll up your sleeves, get inky fingers and get to know other imaginative minds in this hands on two hour workshop.

WORKSHOP ONE: 7 - 9 year olds, 10am - 12pm, $20 p/p
WORKSHOP TWO: 9 - 12 year olds, 2pm - 4pm, $20 p/p

INSTRUCTOR: RENEE HADLOW   With a background in printmaking and fine arts, my love of creating with paper and ink is embedded in what I produce.  Passionate about process, technique and teaching I’ll guide you through the traditional techniques of printmaking and help you appreciate the beauty and enjoyment of fine press printing.   WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS   No prior knowledge is required. However as we will be in a workshop environment the following are requirements for health and safety purposes.  1. Wear closed toe shoes. 2. No loose or flappy clothing. 3. Long hair needs to be tied back. 4. All jewellery must be removed while operating the printing presses. 5. Aprons or old clothes should be worn. 6. Nitrile gloves will be provided when using ink.
